POGO
Prince William Older Girl
Organization

Home Page

POGO is a branch of the Girl Scouts.  It was developed to allow teen girls to experience more diverse activities, being focused on the individual instead of the troop.  For example, the POGO backpackers went on a trip to Scotland summer 2008, after several years of practice and fundraising.  And who can forget the POGO Walkabout that is held each September.  Where else can you choose activities like archery, horse back riding, caving, basket weaving, crochet, quilting, canoeing, and many more assorted choices.  This organization has truly grown since its beginning in 1998.  There are now over 900 girls in just Fauquier and Prince William Counties that are still active through their Senior High School years.

POGO is open to all Girl Scouts in the Cadette / Senior level.  Please ask your troop leader to contact the Service Unit POGO Representative for more information.

If you are hosting a workshop or need additional volunteers or help, please contact us.  There are many girls / adults who would be thrilled to help!
